Marketing on a Shoestring Budget for Maximum Impact
No matter what stage your CPG business is in, marketing is an essential spend that one cannot ignore in their financial planning and projections. However, taking a CPG product to market is quite a challenging feat compared to other industries. There are many variable & upfront costs and margins generally tend to be slim, especially until you hit scale, it's a volume play, period. As a founder, or a marketer for a small business, there are several smart and creative ways you can put your limited budget to use and still make the impact you need with your audience; be it building a community, or branding, or followers that will convert. Hema Reddy of Epicurate Media will go over impact & growth based marketing tactics that will allow you to build a roadmap that aligns with your business needs.

Sourcing in China & New Year Mixer
Limited Capacity seats available

Help us usher in the Year of the Dog. The Lunar New Year is celebrated in China, Vietnam (Tết), Korea (Seollal), Singapore, Taiwan, and the diaspora all over the world, and right here in Austin.

This event is part of the second annual Austin Consumer Product Goods Week, so there will be a short panel discussion on sourcing goods from Asia. Our speakers are Winchell Cheung, Director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council Midwest and Jay Choi, CEO & President of Vidbox Inc.

The Dogwood is hosting us - how cool is that since it's the earth dog year? We will be serving appetizers and there will be a cash bar. And of course, what would a new year celebration be without a lion dance?
(This is a 21+ venue - you must present a valid ID to enter)

This event is free for GAACC members and $15 for non-members if you pre-register, and $20 for all walk-ins. Everyone who comes receives an entry to a drawing to win some cool prizes; a Burberry scarf donated by Becamex and some Vidbox electronics (must be present to win). Registration closes on February 14 so  RSVP today!
